Grilled Fish with Oriental Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 fish (such as snapper, pomfret, grouper, trevally, or similar)
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Sauce

  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cm piece of ginger
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon sweet spicy chili sauce (or regular chili sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  1. Score the fish and rub it with lime juice and salt. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. Mix all the sauce ingredients together until well combined.

  3. Coat the fish evenly with the sauce mixture.

  4. Let the coated fish marinate for 1 hour.

  5. Grill the fish until fully cooked. If using a grill pan, lightly grease it with margarine.
