Indonesian Butter Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • Salt, a little (for parboiling)
  • Garlic, crushed (for parboiling)
  • Ginger (for parboiling)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
  • 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Mushroom stock powder, to taste

Preparation

  1. Parboil the chicken pieces with a little salt, crushed garlic, and ginger until partially cooked.

  2. Fry the chicken until golden brown.

  3. Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

  4. Add sweet soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce, then stir well.

  5. Add a little water.

  6. Add the chicken and stir until the sauce is even.

  7. Add a little more water, then add sugar, pepper, and stock powder, and stir.

  8. Add butter and stir well.

  9. Turn off the heat.

  10. Squeeze lime juice over it and serve warm.
