Stir-Fried Meatballs with Broccoli and Black Pepper

Ingredients

  • 2 broccoli heads
  • 10 beef meatballs
  • 3 tomatoes

Spices

  • 1 full tablespoon baceman bawang
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green onion stalk
  • 2 red chilies
  • 10 bird's eye chilies
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper, coarsely ground
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Stock powder to taste
  • Cornstarch slurry to taste

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Preparation

  1. Cut broccoli into florets, soak in warm salted water, then rinse clean and mix the sauce ingredients together.

  2. Stir-fry the baceman bawang with onion until fragrant, then add beef meatballs and stir until well mixed.

  3. Add a little water, then add chilies and broccoli.

  4. Add the sauce mixture and season with black pepper, sugar, salt, pepper, and stock powder; adjust the taste.

  5. Finally, add tomato pieces, green onion, and thicken with cornstarch slurry.

  6. Remove from heat and serve.
