Delicious Meatball and Vegetable Rice Bowl

Ingredients

Meatball

  • 200g ground beef
  • 2 slices white bread without crust
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 cloves grated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fried shallots
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Stock powder to taste

Vegetable

  • Carrots
  • Green beans
  • Broccoli
  • 5 cloves garlic (for garnish)

Sauce

  • 100g sliced button mushrooms
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 250ml water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (dissolved in water)
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Stock powder to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix all meatball ingredients, shape into balls, and fry until cooked; set aside.

  2. Boil the vegetables (carrots, green beans, broccoli) with a little salt, then immediately transfer to ice water to keep them fresh.

  3. Chop 5 cloves of garlic finely and fry until golden for garnish.

  4. Sauté sliced onion until wilted, add ground pepper and stir.

  5. Add sliced mushrooms and fried meatballs, then pour in water and bring to a boil.

  6. Stir in barbecue sauce, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and stock powder to taste.

  7. Once the flavor is adjusted, thicken the sauce with the cornstarch mixture.

  8. Arrange rice in a bowl, add the boiled vegetables, pour over the sauce with meatballs, and sprinkle with the fried garlic garnish.
