Extra Creamy Classic Hummus
Ingredients
- 2 cans organic chickpeas
- 1 cup tahini
- Juice of one lemon
- Chickpea juice from the can
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Preparation
Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the liquid from the second can.
In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients including the chickpea juice and blend until smooth and creamy.
Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl.
Decorate with chopped purple onions, roasted chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon wedges, and crushed red pepper.
Serve with warm pita bread.
