One Pan Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 chicken cutlets
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/3 cup italian breadcrumbs
  • 6 oz mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil, to garnish

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a 10-inch cast iron pan over medium heat.

  3. Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and add the sauce.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

  5. Add the chicken back to the skillet. Top with the breadcrumbs and a slice of mozzarella cheese.

  6. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted. Garnish with basil.
