Crispy Air-Fried Tofu Snack for Meals

Ingredients

  • 13 oz extra firm tofu
  • 1.5 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce if not gluten-free)
  • 1.5 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Preparation

  1. Press the tofu with a tofu press or by wrapping it in a kitchen towel and placing a heavy board or pan on top. Cube the tofu into roughly 1/2-3/4 inch pieces.

  2. Preheat air fryer at 380 F.

  3. Add the tofu into a bowl along with the tamari. Place a lid over the bowl and shake to toss. Sift in the cornstarch and add in the nutritional yeast. Place the lid over again and shake to toss until the pieces of tofu are all coated.

  4. Transfer the tofu into the air fryer and air fry at 380 F for 7 minutes. Shake the pan and air fry for another 7-8 minutes or until crispy.

Pro tips

  1. Don’t skip pressing the tofu, as removing excess water allows it to absorb more flavor and enhances texture.
