Festive Vegetarian Pie with Mash

Ingredients

Pastry

  • 90g plain flour
  • 30g fat (mix of butter and trex)
  • 2.5 to 3 tablespoons cold water

Filling

  • Stuffing
  • Taste and Glory UK roast tenderstrips
  • Cranberry sauce
  • 1 x This isn't pork pigs in blankets

Topping

  • Jus Rol puff pastry
  • Beaten egg (for brushing)

Preparation

  1. Mix the pastry ingredients together and refrigerate for 30 minutes

  2. Roll out the pastry and line the pie dish

  3. Assemble the filling with stuffing, roast tenderstrips, cranberry sauce, and pigs in blankets

  4. Top the pie with puff pastry, brush with beaten egg, and bake until golden

  5. Serve with mashed potatoes, additional pigs in blankets, broccoli, and gravy
