Homemade Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
- dough
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp active dry quick yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp evoo
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- toppings
- extra evoo for topping and handling
- fresh rosemary
- parsley
- 3 garlic cloves diced
- salt
Preparation
Add all dough ingredients into a large bowl and mix in a stand mixer till a dough forms
Place dough in a clean large bowl coated with olive oil, place a towel over and keep in a warm place for an hour
The dough should double in size
Take more olive oil and drizzle on your baking dish or tray
I used a smaller sized rectangle baking tray
Make sure it’s coated well and place dough
Push the dough into the corners and flatten it out
Place your fingers in the dough making the holes all over
Sprinkle the salt, herbs and garlic evenly over and drizzle more olive oil on top
Bake at 375f for 30–35 minutes or till it gets crispy edges and golden brown
