Vegan Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tbl instant yeast
  • 1 tbl brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbl avocado oil
  • 2 cups oatmilk or water

Preparation

  1. Mix dry ingredients and add wet. Kneed or use stand mixer until a dough forms. 10 min or so by hand

  2. Transfer to oiled container and let rise until doubled

  3. Divide into 10 equal parts and roll each into a ball. Cover and let rise for 30 min. Roll into 12 inch rope and shape

  4. Place on baking sheet, cover, let rest in fridge for 30 min

  5. Boil water and add in 2 tbl molasses and 1 tbl baking soda (don't skip that part) boil each pretzel for 1 min on each side

  6. TRansfer to parchment lined sheet. Bake at 450 F for 12-15 min
