Sticky Seasame Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 tbl sesame oil
  • 1 tbl minced ginger
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbl rice vinegar
  • 1 tbl corn starch
  • 1/2 cup water ?
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup soft
  • 2 tbl all purpose flour

Preparation

  1. Sauce

  2. Whisk together in a sauce pot and heat, while stirring, until bubbling and thick

  3. Set aside

  4. Whisk together dry ingredients in a large bowl

  5. In a separate bowl whisk together the water, tofu, and the 2 Tbl flour

  6. Dip a floret into the wet mix then toss in the dry mix

  7. Set on parchment lined baking sheet

  8. Once all florets are coated, bake for 15 min, flip, bake 10 min more. Empty out the bowl with the dry mix and pour in the thickened sauce

  9. Toss the baked cauliflower in the sauce and return to the baking sheet

  10. Sprinkle on toasted sesame seeds and bake for 15 min

  11. Serve with chopped green onion

  12. Great with a drizzle of Sriracha

  13. Erve with rice or just on its own
