Simple and Delicious Steamed Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • A bit less than 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon leavening agent (baking powder, cream of tartar, or baking soda)
  • 3 tablespoons condensed milk (adjustable to taste)
  • A pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Heat the steamer and add a bit more frozen butter to melt it.

  2. Ensure the steamer is boiling.

  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs one by one with sugar until fluffy and sugar is dissolved.

  4. Gradually add melted butter while beating at high speed.

  5. Add condensed milk and salt.

  6. Sift in the flour mixed with leavening agent.

  7. Beat the mixture from low to high speed until thick and well combined.

  8. Grease the cake pan with butter or oil.

  9. Taste the batter and adjust seasoning to taste.

  10. Pour the batter into the pan; optionally add color.

  11. Ensure the water in the steamer is boiling and sufficient, then place the pan in.

  12. Steam for 45-50 minutes on medium heat to avoid hardness.

  13. The cake is done.
