Cake with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 200 grams cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup butter at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons liquid vanilla
  • 7 cups powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup water

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Use a tube pan, grease it with butter, then dust with flour, and set aside.

  3. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt, and set aside.

  4. In the mixer bowl, place the cheese, butter, vanilla, attach the whisk attachment and beat, adding the sugar alternately with the milk.

  5. Take 1/2 of 2 cups of this mixture, cover with plastic and set aside to be used later as sauce for decorating the cake.

  6. Add the eggs gradually to the remaining mixture while continuing to beat.

  7. Add the flour mixture alternately with water, and beat until the cake mixture is homogeneous.

  8. Pour the cake mixture into the pan.

  9. Bake the cake for 45 minutes until done.

  10. Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool.

  11. Place the cake on a serving plate, add the decorating sauce to fill the cavity of the cake and serve.
