Strawberry Bliss Pie Dessert
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup strawberry jam
- 750g fresh strawberries
Pie crust
- 335g flour
- 30g sugar
- 165g butter
- 105-110g iced water
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Place flour, sugar and salt into a food processor and pulse a few times to combine.
Add cold diced butter and pulse the mixture until coarse crumbs form with some pea-sized pieces then stop mixing.
Add water and pulse just until moist clumps or small balls form.
Transfer dough to a clean work surface and gather dough together into a ball but do not knead the dough.
Divide dough into 2 portions, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 210°C.
Roll out the chilled pie dough and carefully place it into a pie pan.
Spread the strawberry jam into the crust.
Top with sliced strawberries.
Roll out the remaining dough and cut it using a pastry hearts grid then carefully transfer and place it on top.
Lightly brush the pie with milk and sprinkle the top with coarse sugar.
Bake the pie at 210°C for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown.
