Fluffy Homemade Crumpet Stack

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 100 ml water
  • 250 g plain flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 5 g sugar (raw brown sugar used)
  • 30 g butter (vegan butter used)
  • 200 ml soy milk

Preparation

  1. In a food processor fitted with the dough blade, add all the ingredients: dry yeast, water, plain flour, salt, sugar, vegan butter, and soy milk.

  2. Start the food processor and run it for 30 seconds, until the dough forms.

  3. Leave the dough to rest in the food processor for 1 hour.

  4. Generously oil crumpet rings.

  5. Over medium heat, spoon the batter into each crumpet ring, filling them halfway.

  6. Cook until the batter rises and holes appear on the surface.

  7. Flip the crumpets and cook on the other side.

  8. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining batter until all crumpets are made.

  9. Serve the homemade crumpets and enjoy!
