Mama's Homemade French Baguette
Ingredients
- 1 1/8 cup (300ml) lukewarm water
- 10g fresh yeast or 3g instant yeast
- a pinch of sugar
- 3 cups (380g) flour
- 1 Tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 250°C/480°F.
Whisk the water, yeast, and sugar together to combine.
Add the flour and salt, then knead until it forms a dough; it will be sticky.
Let the dough rest for 90 minutes.
Generously flour a working surface and the dough.
Divide the dough into two parts and place on a lined baking tray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
