Vegan Red Velvet Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 200-250ml nut milk
  • 1 small frozen beet (50g)
  • 2-3 frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 Medjool date
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon Maca powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon flaxseed
  • Optional handful of ice

Preparation

  1. Optionally, prepare portions of veggies, fruits, and green ingredients in advance and freeze them in baggies for easy meal prep.

  2. When ready, add nut milk and powders to the frozen mixture.

  3. Blend everything in a blender until smooth.

  4. Add a handful of ice if desired for a thicker, creamier consistency.

  5. Top with shredded coconut, cacao nibs, bee pollen, granola, goji berries, or fresh fruits as desired.
