Traditional Turkish Beef Köfte
Ingredients
- 1 kg ground beef
- 1 onion
- 4-5 cloves garlic
- A handful of parsley
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- Cumin
- Black pepper
- Chili powder
- Salt
- 1 coffee cup semolina
- 1 coffee cup breadcrumbs
- 2 coffee cups water
- 1 baking powder
Preparation
Process the vegetables in a food processor and mix all the ingredients together
Shape the mixture and place on a tray, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-5 hours
Fry the meatballs in a little oil
In the same pan, fry tomatoes and peppers
Transfer the fried meatballs to a baking tray, add a tablespoon of butter on top, and bake at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes
Serve with fried potatoes
