Chocolate Oat Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 3/4 cup gf oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup dairy free dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 + 2tbsp almond butter

Preparation

  1. In small saucepan over medium heat combine oil, maple syrup and mix together

  2. Lower heat and add oats, cinnamon, sea salt and vanilla

  3. Stir to combine

  4. Prepare an 8 by 8 pan with parchment paper

  5. In a microwave safe bowl, combine tahini, almond butter and chocolate chips

  6. Heat in 30 sec increments until fully melted and stir to combine

  7. Remove from heat

  8. FIRMLY press 3/4 of the oat mixture into bottom of prepared pan

  9. Pour 3/4 of chocolate mixture on top

  10. Try to get as smooth and even as possible and then finish the top with remaining oats and then drizzle remaining chocolate

  11. Place in freezer to firm up

  12. I let them sit for several hours

  13. When ready

  14. Alice them up and enjoy
