Vanilla Vegan Waffles with Strawberries and Syrup

Ingredients

  • 3 heaped teaspoons plain flour (about a third of a cup)
  • 3 heaped teaspoons self raising flour (about a third of a cup)
  • 1/2 cup plant milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • small scoop of margarine or oil

Preparation

  1. Plug the waffle maker in and leave to heat up.

  2. Mix all the ingredients together until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a touch more milk.

  3. Add a small scoop of margarine or oil to the waffle maker. Leave to melt and then wipe it around to prevent sticking.

  4. Pour the waffle mixture into the maker, scrape down the sides of the bowl. Place the lid on and flip it over immediately. Leave for a few minutes, then turn to the other side. Once golden, serve.

  5. Top with vanilla vegan yoghurt, strawberries, and golden syrup.
