Cafe-Style Roasted Beef Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless thinly sliced beef (pasanda cut or parcha cut)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste or 1 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder or kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Black pepper powder (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda or meat tenderizer or raw papaya
  • 4-6 tablespoons oil
  • 1 glass water
  • 2-3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 julienne-cut capsicum
  • Cheese (amount not specified)
  • 6 large or 12 small buns, such as long buns, dinner rolls, or croissants

Preparation

  1. Marinate everything for at least 1 hour

  2. Stir fry in 4-6 tablespoons of oil until oil separates

  3. Add 1 glass of water, cover, and cook until the meat is tender and mushy

  4. Roughly shred the meat with a cooking spoon

  5. In the same pan, add 2-3 tablespoons of oil

  6. Caramelize 1 sliced onion and 1 julienne-cut capsicum

  7. Add cheese

  8. Take 6 large or 12 small buns, such as long buns, dinner rolls, or croissants

  9. Layer with beef and then caramelized onions and capsicum

  10. Serve without any sauce

  1. No sauce is required for this sandwich
