Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken Sandwiches with Pickle Slaw

Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 package Dave's Killer Bread Burger Buns

Pickle slaw

  • 16-ounce package coleslaw
  • 1/2 sweet onion, diced
  • 1 cup chopped pickles
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Place chicken in 6-quart slow cooker.

  2. Add in the rest of the ingredients.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

  4. Remove cooked chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks, then return to slow cooker and stir.

  5. Combine all of the pickle slaw ingredients together in a large bowl and stir well, ensuring all coleslaw is coated.

  6. Cover and refrigerate the pickle slaw while the chicken cooks for at least 2 hours, up to 4 hours.

  7. Serve the pulled chicken on Dave's Killer Bread Burger Buns with the pickle slaw on top and enjoy.
