Crockpot Hot Honey Chicken
Ingredients
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup honey
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Spices
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
Pickle slaw
- 1 16-ounce package coleslaw
- 1/2 sweet onion, diced
- 1 cup chopped pickles
- 1 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp pickle juice
Pickle slaw spices
- 1/2 tsp garlic
- 1 tsp dill
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Add the chicken to a crockpot.
In a small bowl, mix the cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic, and salt.
Add the seasoning all over the chicken.
Add the butter, divided into 1 tablespoon pieces.
Drizzle the honey on top.
Pour in the vinegar.
Place the lid on and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.
Once cooked, shred the chicken.
Add to a toasted bun and top with pickle slaw.
Enjoy!
Pickle slaw
Combine all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and stir well, making sure all of the coleslaw is coated.
Cover and refrigerate while the chicken cooks for at least 2 hours, up to 4 hours.
Serve on top of the chicken sandwiches and enjoy!
