Persian Style Chicken Cutlet

Ingredients

  • Half a chicken breast
  • 1 onion
  • Salt, black pepper, and turmeric for cooking chicken
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • Salt, black pepper, paprika (spices)
  • Parsley and green onions
  • Bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs or white flour

Preparation

  1. Cook the chicken breast with onion, salt, black pepper, and turmeric until fully done and tender

  2. Boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them

  3. Shred the cooked chicken and mix it with the mashed potatoes, eggs, garlic, spices, parsley, green onions, and bell pepper to form a uniform mixture

  4. Shape the mixture into patties

  5. Coat the patties with breadcrumbs or white flour and optional sesame seeds

  6. Fry the patties in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides
