Scottish Eggs with Sausage Coating
Ingredients
- 250 grams ground meat
- 4 large boiled eggs
- 1 medium grated onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon mixed spices
Coating
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
Frying
- Oil for frying
Preparation
In a deep bowl, place the meat, onion, salt, pepper, and mixed spices and knead the meat with your fingertips until it becomes smooth.
Divide the meat into 4 parts and wrap each boiled egg with a part of the meat mixture.
For coating, place the eggs in a deep bowl and beat them lightly with a fork until mixed.
Place the breadcrumbs in a wide plate and set aside.
Dip the meat-wrapped egg in the egg mixture, turn it on both sides until lightly coated, then transfer to the breadcrumbs, place on a tray, and refrigerate to set.
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil and fry the eggs for about 5 minutes until golden.
