Baked Pasta Nests with Meat and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 packet rolled pasta

Filling

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 200 grams ground meat
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large peeled and chopped tomato
  • 1 medium chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  1. Get a medium-sized round baking dish.

  2. In a deep pot, place a generous amount of water, add one tablespoon of salt and one tablespoon of corn oil, and put the pot on medium heat until the water boils vigorously.

  3. Place the rolled pasta piece on a slotted spoon and gently put it into the boiling water. Wait for a few minutes until the pasta softens, then gently remove it from the water and place it in the baking dish without stirring to maintain its shape.

  4. For the filling, in a medium-sized pot, place the oil and put it on medium heat. Add the ground meat and stir until it becomes dark brown and dry. Add the onion, mixed spices, salt, black pepper, tomato, and green bell pepper. Stir the mixture for two minutes, then add water and let it cook for 7 minutes.

  5. Using a large spoon, distribute the filling into the pasta nests and sprinkle the cheese over it. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.

  6. Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the oven to 180°C.

  7. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
