Miso Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts

Glaze

  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons white miso
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup hot water

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F

  2. Cut off the woody bottom of the Brussels sprouts and halve them

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients

  4. Add the Brussels sprouts to the bowl and gently toss to coat

  5. Layer the Brussels sprouts on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with fresh cracked pepper

  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip, and bake for another 15 minutes

  7. Optionally, broil for 2-3 minutes, checking regularly to avoid burning

  8. Add a sprinkle of sea salt flakes and serve
