Spinach and Artichoke Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Turkish bread
  • 250g marinated artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup vegetarian Parmesan or nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1–2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 4 cups baby spinach
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese (dairy-free, if vegan)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a food processor, combine artichoke hearts, Parmesan or nutritional yeast, basil, oregano, garlic, cream cheese and spinach. Blend until smooth and spreadable.

  3. Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise and place the halves on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the spinach-artichoke mixture evenly over each bread half, then sprinkle with the grated cheese.

  4. Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden and crispy.

  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
