Creamy Veganized Onion Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 large (about 600 g) Onions
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) of Oil (Avocado)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 g) of Vegan Butter
  • 12 oz (332 ml) Tofutti Vegan Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup (30 g) Tofutti Vegan Cream Cheese
  • 1 tsp (15 g) Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp (7.5 g) Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Bragg Liquid Aminos or light Soy Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until caramelized and golden brown.

  2. Add the vegan butter to the pan and let it melt.

  3. In a bowl, combine the caramelized onions, vegan sour cream, vegan cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and Bragg Liquid Aminos. Mix well.

  4. Season the dip with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences. Mix again.

  5. Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld.

  6. Serve the creamy veganized onion dip with your favorite chips or dippable snacks.
