Crispy Savory Spicy Chickpea Toast
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (GF)
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1 tsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 avocados, pitted
- 1/2 lemon, seeds removed
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl add the chickpeas, oil, chili, cumin, garlic, salt, cayenne (optional) and mix.
Place the seasoned chickpeas on a pan and bake for 15 minutes.
While the chickpeas are in the oven scoop your avocados from its skin and place in a bowl.
Mash avocado with a fork and season with pepper and salt and lemon juice.
Take chickpeas out from the oven and place aside.
Pop your bread in the toaster and toast.
Add the mashed avocado on top of the toast and add the spicy chickpeas.
Eat immediately.
