Simple Cabbage Side with Carrots and Honey

Ingredients

  • 1 white onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 large Savoy cabbage
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tbsp butter
  • 1-2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp water
  • salt to season

Preparation

  1. Put the olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan over a medium heat

  2. Add the onion and cook for about 7 minutes till soft, golden and just beginning to caramelise

  3. Add the carrot and cook for another couple of minutes

  4. Add the cabbage and water. Cook for about 7 minutes till soft and wilted

  5. Add 1 tbsp honey, season and taste.

  6. If you want a richer flavour, add the second tbsp honey and butter and stir through
