Simple Cabbage Side with Carrots and Honey
Ingredients
- 1 white onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 large Savoy cabbage
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp butter
- 1-2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp water
- salt to season
Preparation
Put the olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan over a medium heat
Add the onion and cook for about 7 minutes till soft, golden and just beginning to caramelise
Add the carrot and cook for another couple of minutes
Add the cabbage and water. Cook for about 7 minutes till soft and wilted
Add 1 tbsp honey, season and taste.
If you want a richer flavour, add the second tbsp honey and butter and stir through
