Carrot Cake Inspired Breakfast Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 50 g whole grain rolled oats
  • 250 ml water or milk of choice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Additional grated carrots
  • Chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey or other sweetener

Preparation

  1. Mix the oats, water or milk, salt, and 1 grated carrot in a pan and cook until all liquid is absorbed.

  2. Stir in 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.

  4. Top with additional grated carrots and chopped walnuts.

  5. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of honey or your preferred sweetener. For a vegan option, use maple syrup or another vegan sweetener.
