Apple Spice Cinnamon Roll Cereal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple butter (store bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbl apple pie spice mix or ground cinnamon
  • 1 tube of vegan refrigerated biscuits (16oz)
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted vegan butter

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup organic powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tbl nondairy milk
  • 2 tbl maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together apple butter, sugar, and spices. Set aside.

  2. Separate the biscuits, then halve each biscuit through its depth, leaving you with 16 circles. Roll each out as thin as you can to make an oval shape.

  3. Brush each oval with melted butter, then brush with the apple butter mixture, leaving a small border on the sides.

  4. Roll up the ovals starting from the bottom to form small logs, then cut each log into 1/2 inch cinnamon rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss.

  5. Place the rolls onto parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until golden, about 8-12 minutes. Alternatively, bake in an air fryer at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-7 minutes in batches.

  6. While the rolls are baking, mix the glaze ingredients together.

  7. Top the cereal with the glaze or enjoy them with some milk.
