Banana Cinnamon Flax Steel Cut Oats with Berries

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats
  • 1 cup water
  • banana slices
  • ground flax
  • cinnamon
  • berries
  • more banana for topping

Preparation

  1. Combine 1/2 cup steel cut oats with 1 cup water in a small pan.

  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until desired thickness is reached.

  3. Turn the heat to low and mix in banana slices, allowing them to melt slightly.

  4. Add desired amounts of ground flax and cinnamon, stir well, and remove from heat.

  5. Top with berries and additional banana slices before serving.

  6. Note: Steel cut oats provide a chewy texture that is preferred over rolled oats for this recipe.
