Vegetarian Chinese Fakeaway Meal

Ingredients

Sweet chilli dish

  • Brown onions
  • 4 Moving Mountains Foods beef-style strips
  • 2 tablespoons Encona Thai sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 Oxo meat-free beef flavour stock cube
  • 1/2 finely chopped chilli

Fried rice

  • Basmati rice
  • 40 grams Sainsbury's grated mozzarella

Curry sauce

  • Water
  • Knorr UK vegetable stock pot
  • Onion salt
  • Garlic powder
  • A pinch of Chinese 5 spice
  • Mild curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour

Preparation

  1. Slice and fry brown onions with beef-style strips until cooked.

  2. Add sweet chilli sauce, stock cube, and chopped chilli to the pan and stir well.

  3. Cook basmati rice in advance and allow it to cool.

  4. Fry the cooled rice with grated mozzarella until the cheese is melty and starts to crisp.

  5. Combine water, vegetable stock pot, onion salt, garlic powder, Chinese 5 spice, and mild curry powder in a pan for the curry sauce.

  6. Mix cornflour with a little cold water and add to the sauce to thicken while heating.

  7. Cook air fryer chips according to the appliance instructions.

  8. Prepare a crunchy radish salad by slicing radishes and combining with any desired fresh vegetables.

  9. Assemble the meal by serving the sweet chilli dish, fried rice, chips, curry sauce, and salad together.
