Sweet and Savory Toast with Caramelized Bananas

Ingredients

  • 2 slices organic sourdough bread
  • 1 avocado
  • Lifeway Kefir
  • 1/2 banana
  • Ghee
  • Cinnamon
  • Blueberries
  • Organic peanut butter

Preparation

  1. Heat ghee in a skillet on low heat.

  2. Add bananas coated with cinnamon and cook for 30 seconds.

  3. Flip the bananas and cook for another 30 seconds to caramelize.

  4. Toast the sourdough bread.

  5. Mash the avocado.

  6. Warm the blueberries.

  7. Assemble by topping one slice of toast with mashed avocado and the other with Lifeway Kefir, caramelized bananas, warmed blueberries, and a drizzle of organic peanut butter.

  8. Use organic sourdough bread for better digestibility, and store half bananas in the peel with a rubber band in the fridge to keep fresh and reduce waste.
