Lavender Lemon Drop Cocktail
Ingredients
- 2 oz (60 ml) vodka or gin
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) orange liqueur [Triple Sec or Cointreau]
- 1/2 -1 oz (15-30 ml) lavender syrup [recipe below]
- Sugar-lemon zest rim
- Lavender sprig, for garnish
Lavender syrup
- 1 tbsp dried lavender petals
- 4 oz (120 ml) hot water
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar or sugar substitute
Preparation
Put your coupe glass in the freezer.
Add vodka or gin, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and lavender syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
Rim your glass with sugar and lemon zest and strain your cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with a sprig of lavender and enjoy.
Lavender syrup
Combine 1 tablespoon dried lavender petals and 4 ounces hot water in a heat-safe cup, stir, and let steep for 2 minutes.
Once steeped, add 1/2 cup granulated sugar or sugar substitute and stir until dissolved.
Strain the syrup into an airtight container, let it cool, and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
