Classic Brazilian Condensed Milk Cake
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons margarine
Topping
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 can heavy cream
Preparation
Beat egg whites with baking powder until stiff peaks form
In a mixer, beat egg yolks with margarine until creamy
Gradually add the condensed milk, then gently fold in the beaten egg whites
Add the flour and mix until a homogeneous batter forms
Pour into a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180Β°C (350Β°F) until golden
Topping
Mix the butter, cocoa powder, and heavy cream
Heat over medium heat until the cocoa powder and butter dissolve
Remove from heat and pour over the cooled cake
