Homemade Protein Spelt Bread Vanilla Choc Chip Vegan French Toast

Ingredients

  • ✨ 10g chickpea flour ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
  • ✨ 120ml @bluediamonduk almond milk ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
  • ✨ 5ml @myproteinuk agave nectar ⠀

Preparation

  1. Combine all of the ingredients together to form a mixture. Soak the bread in the mixture, flipping each slice to fully cover in the mixture. And I bake my French toast as oppose to frying it because I find that when it cooks the protein powder layering becomes cakey as shown in the video! I baked it for 15mins on 180c ( I placed the slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper so it doesn’t stick)! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

  2. I then decided to top my French toast with @sweetfreedomuk chocolate sauce, some cacao nibs and half a packet of @gochocchick quinoa puffs! ? super yummy
