Moist Vegan Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

Ingredients

  • 2.5 ripe, large bananas
  • 180g all-purpose flour
  • 50g oat flour
  • 250g sugar (or stevia)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 150ml rapeseed oil
  • 300ml oat or soy milk
  • 1 heaped tbsp nut butter
  • Chocolate chips
  • Optional: vegan hazelnut spread

Preparation

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients.

  2. In a separate bowl, mash the bananas and add the wet ingredients.

  3. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Mix well.

  4. Add chopped chocolate or chocolate chips to the batter and mix again.

  5. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).

  6. Grease a baking or bread form and pour the batter into it. Optional: Spread some chocolate spread on top.

  7. Bake in the oven for 50-55 minutes or until a knife or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the banana bread to cool completely before slicing and serving.
