Steamed Broccoli and Green Beans with Almonds and Chili

Ingredients

  • 30g almonds
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 red chilli
  • 250g broccoli
  • 250g green beans
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Boil the kettle and get your steamers ready.

  2. In a frying pan, heat 1-2 tbsp of olive oil, grate in the garlic, and add chopped chilli. Once slightly cooked, turn off heat.

  3. Steam the vegetables for about 4 minutes so they stay crisp.

  4. Finely slice up more chilli and slice the almonds.

  5. Once the vegetables are done, toss them in the garlicky olive oil, add salt and pepper, and plate up. Top with the crunchy almonds and chilli, and serve hot or cold with a big squeeze of lemon.
