Vegan Pasta Sauce with Meatless Mince

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pepper, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • Beans or meat substitute
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 200g passata
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 5 tbsp oat milk (or other alternative)

Preparation

  1. Fry the onion and pepper in a pan for five minutes.

  2. Add the garlic to the pan and fry for another minute.

  3. Add the beans or meat substitute and fry for a few minutes until mostly cooked.

  4. Add the remaining ingredients, stir in and leave to simmer for 5 minutes.
