Hazelnut Biscuits with Roasted Hazelnuts

Ingredients

  • 3 cups finely ground hazelnuts
  • 1 cup fine-grained sugar
  • 10 tablespoons flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole roasted hazelnuts

Preparation

  1. Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C

  2. Prepare shallow baking sheets and line them with parchment paper

  3. In a mixer bowl, combine the ground hazelnuts, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla, and melted butter, attach the beater, and mix on medium speed until a dough forms

  4. Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them on the prepared sheets, leaving 1 inch between each, then press a whole roasted hazelnut into each ball

  5. Bake the biscuits for 12 minutes or until light golden brown

  6. Transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool and serve
