Hazelnut Biscuits with Roasted Hazelnuts
Ingredients
- 3 cups finely ground hazelnuts
- 1 cup fine-grained sugar
- 10 tablespoons flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup whole roasted hazelnuts
Preparation
Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180°C
Prepare shallow baking sheets and line them with parchment paper
In a mixer bowl, combine the ground hazelnuts, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla, and melted butter, attach the beater, and mix on medium speed until a dough forms
Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them on the prepared sheets, leaving 1 inch between each, then press a whole roasted hazelnut into each ball
Bake the biscuits for 12 minutes or until light golden brown
Transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool and serve
