Brazilian Honey Spice Cake
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cans milk
- 1 cup honey
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
Filling
- 1 can dulce de leche
Topping
- 150g dark chocolate
- 100g milk chocolate
- 1 can heavy cream
Preparation
Mix all dough ingredients; no need to beat
Pour batter into a greased and floured pan
Bake at 350Β°F (180Β°C) for about 35 minutes
Let the cake cool completely in the pan, then remove
Cut the cake horizontally into two layers
Spread the dulce de leche filling over the bottom layer
Place the top layer over the filling
Melt the dark and milk chocolate in a double boiler, then mix in the heavy cream
Pour the chocolate topping over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides
