Brown Sugar Pound Cake with Maple Glaze

Ingredients

  • 16 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups gluten-free measure for measure flour
  • 1 cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla

Glaze

  • Confectioners sugar and water for normal glaze
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar for maple glaze
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup maple

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350

  2. Grease bundt pan

  3. Beat sugars and butter for 2 minutes on medium

  4. Add eggs one at a time, beat in between each addition

  5. Add baking powder, salt and baking soda

  6. Gently beat in half the flour

  7. Gently mix in sour cream and vanilla

  8. Then add remaining flour and mix until blended

  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes, use cake tester

  10. Cool for 15 minutes before removing

  11. Cool and mix ingredients for two glazes or just use one

  12. Drizzle on cooled cake and serve
