Crispy Heart-Shaped Waffle Cookies
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 1 medium egg
- 100 g sugar
- 150 g butter
- a pinch of salt
Waffle iron fat
- some fat
Chocolate dipping
- 200 g chocolate
Preparation
Mix flour, egg, sugar, butter, and salt into a smooth dough
Take small portions of dough with a teaspoon and roll into small balls with your hands
Plug in the waffle iron (heart shape), grease both sides with some fat, and preheat to medium heat
Place one dough ball on the waffle iron and close it
Bake for about 2 minutes, checking frequently as they brown quickly until lightly browned
Remove the cookies with a spatula and let cool on a plate
Chocolate variation
Melt 200 g chocolate in a double boiler
Dip the cooled cookies halfway into the melted chocolate
Place the cookies on baking paper to cool and let the chocolate set
Tips
Dust with powdered sugar for a simple variation
