Easy Crispy Heart-Shaped Waffle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium egg
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 150 g unsalted butter, softened
  • a pinch of salt
  • butter or oil for greasing the waffle iron

Chocolate dipping

  • 200 g chocolate, melted

Preparation

  1. Knead flour, egg, sugar, butter, and salt into a smooth dough. Take small portions of dough and roll into balls with your hands

  2. Preheat the heart-shaped waffle iron and grease both sides with butter or oil. Preheat to medium heat

  3. Place one dough ball on the waffle iron and close. Bake for about 2 minutes, checking often until lightly browned. Remove with a spatula and let cool on a plate

Chocolate dipping

  1. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Dip cooled cookies halfway into the melted chocolate and let set on parchment paper
