Sugar-Free Brownies with Banana and Cocoa

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup nut or seed butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or Lakanto sugar-free syrup
  • 2/3 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar and dairy free chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, nut or seed butter, plant-based milk, and maple syrup.

  3. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips until combined.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the center is firm.

  5. Let cool before slicing and enjoy.

  6. Optional: For frosting, mix together 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, and sweetener to taste.
