White Bean Hummus Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked navy beans (still warm)
  • 1 large clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/2-3/4 cup ice water
  • 1/2 tsp salt and cracked pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Aleppo chili flakes
  • Olive oil

Preparation

  1. Place cooked beans, garlic, lemon juice and tahini in the bowl of a food processor and turn on.

  2. Scrape down sides as needed.

  3. With machine whirling, start to add ice water 1 tablespoon at a time.

  4. Continue until the texture is smooth and creamy with almost a fluffy consistency.

  5. Season with salt, cracked pepper and Aleppo chili flakes.

  6. Process again.

  7. Transfer to a glass dish with a lid.

  8. Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil on top and add a bit more chili flakes.
