Marinated Chicken Skewers with Special Sauce

Ingredients

  • 750g chicken breast

Marinade

  • 100ml olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1.5 teaspoons chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Blend all marinade ingredients in a food processor until smooth.

  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix well.

  4. Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 3-4 hours.

  5. Thread the chicken onto skewers without packing too tightly or leaving large gaps.

  6. Cook in a heated non-stick pan with a little oil, browning on all sides, or bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 25-30 minutes until golden.

Tips

  1. Serve with sumac onions, tomato salad, and pilaf for a great combination.
